Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath marked the end of their journey at Villa Park in Birmingham with Back to the Beginning concert. This site is only a few miles away from where the band was formed. They also held the first major concert of their East to West tour. The concert was a ten-hour long fiesta of metal which served to celebrate Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s impact in the industry.
Ozzy has struggled with Parkinson’s for many years and is battling other serious health problems, but still with Sharon Osbourne supporting him he was able to deliver an emotional finale to his career. He did this while sitting on a custom leather throne making the performance even more unforgettable. No matter the physical obstacles, he still showed why he is referred to as the ‘Prince of Darkness’.

Final Thoughts
Rock and Roll fans have labelled it the most memorable day of heavy metal to date. Thanks to artists like Guns N’ Roses, Anthrax, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and many more tribute artists who attended, this concert made rock history and also raised money to cure Parkinson’s and support local charities around Birmingham.
